A Hungarian mobile water purification system in the Lao People's Democratic Republic has begun its operation in an area affected by a critical dam failure

With the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, a mobile water purification plant has been resituated in Attapeu Province, an area flooded as a result of a dam failure. The purification plant is to supply drinking water to the population. The system is capable of providing 5-6000 litres of clean drinking water per day, as required. As such, the mobile plant is able to provide around 3000 people access to clean drinking water every day.
